Reisetaschen – Tyvek (synthetisches Papier)
Die federleichten Papier-Taschen, eine Art minimalistisches Reisegepäck, sind aus Tyvek gefertigt, einem synthetischen, beschichteten Papier, das für den Medizin- und Hygienebereich entwickelt wurde. Extrem belastbar und wasserabweisend, mit einer weichen Oberfläche, eignet sich das Material vorzüglich für seine neue Funktion. Mittels verzahnter Klebeleisten werden bereits die Druckschablone und das Schnittmuster an belasteten Stellen verstärkt. Nachdem die Tyvek-Bögen maschinell gestanzt und bedruckt sind, werden sie per Hand in einem Spezialbetrieb für Papierprodukte verklebt. 2009 nahm Saskia Diez das Reise-Accessoire in ihre Kollektion auf, in der es in verschiedenen Größen, Formen und Farben erhältlich ist.
Travel Bags – Tyvek (synthetic paper)
Light as a feather, Papier is a minimal take on luggage. Made from Tyvek, an industrial paper product originally developed for the medical industry, its tensile strength and water repellence, along with its soft feel, make it highly suitable for its new function. The print template and the cutting pattern feature interlocked adhesive edges to reinforce the bags’ stress points. Machine-punched and printed, the Tyvek sheets are manually glued together in a specialist workshop for paper products. In 2009, Saskia Diez included the bags in her brand portfolio, where they are available in different sizes, shapes and colours.
